Weekly Assignment

Due April 24

Based on your questions and responses from family, and self reflection, choose a guitar solo/cover of a song that represents you. Find the sheet music, or TABS, share all of this info in the Forum for this week's post, and get started learning!
***Seniors, we will be using this for a senior project. Plan on learning about 1 minute worth of music.
***Juniors- feel free to share your song choice with us in the forum, but instead of focusing on your song, offer assistance to the seniors in covering their songs. One of you can play chords, the other melody, bass, etc.

We will be developing ways to layer audio recordings in the upcoming weeks.

Due April 17

-Find a song that fits your personality!*

- *this does not mean "choose a song you like".
Patience.....
Read the entire assignment first! You need to write down questions and answers, interview style.

-Ask your family and/or friends (the people closest to you/ your guardian) what your best attributes are. "Ex. Kind, Compassionate, Funny, Thoughtful, Calm, Complex, Chill, etc."

-Ask those same people what another trait you possess is, not necessarily good, but not necessarily bad. "Ex. loud, tense, sleepy, shy, cynic, distracted, sensitive, etc."

-Search for the perfect song- a song that represents the combination of how you see yourself, and the realities of how the world sees us.

-Post your song, and your questions/answers from family in the Forum tab at the top of the page.

-By Friday - comment on at least two other people's posts letting them know something that you miss about them from class. This is not limited to 2, you can tell everyone something if you'd like.

-Classroom rules apply to Forum, be kind, use school appropriate language.

Due April 10

Post a video of yourself playing a song of your choice into the Forum. It can be a guitar riff, chord progression, part of a piece, or an entire song; genre of your choice. Videos are due Thursday April 9.

Then comment on two classmate's videos, telling them what they did well and what they can improve on, by Friday April 10. Fell free to post links to helpful tutorials for your friends!
